Yorktown Animal Hospital
271 Veterans Road
Yorktown Heights, N.Y. 10598
914 - 962-3111
Located in beautiful downtown Yorktown Heights, right
across the street from the track and the gazebo, Yorktown Animal Hospital has
been providing pet care and boarding facilities for Yorktown and the surrounding communities for almost 40 years.
In
2002 we purchased the hospital and began transforming it, updating it, and adding
the various methods of treatment that make us so unique in the world of veterinary
medicine.
While our veterinarians at Yorktown offer a full range of high quality medical, surgical
and dental services, we also offer Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine,
and many other types of Alternative and Complementary Veterinary Medicinal services
as well. Our veterinarians at Yorktown (as well as at the two Riverside practices) believe that a cure is a cure, and relief from disease can take many
different forms and methods. The more tools we have in our toolbox to heal your
pet, the more successful we will be in that endevour.
Pia Hiekkaranta, Dr. Heidi Hungerbuhler, Dr. Phillip Raclyn, and Dr. Steven Kasanofsky all work at
Yorktown Animal Hospital. The schedule may vary, so if there is one particular
doctor you prefer to see, please make sure the receptionists know so that they
can schedule you with the doctor you prefer (when possible). If you're new to the neighborhood in Yorktown, or if you have a new pet, ) stop in for a visit and you’ll see we offer the best veterinary care in Yorktown
We offer a full boarding facility with outdoor runs
and indoor kennels. Being an animal hospital for the most part, we take pride
in our capability to kennel pets with medical problems or special needs. We're
now happy to offer playgroups for your dogs that board with us. The playgroups
take place two or three times daily in our grassy backyard. This makes it more
like summer camp for the pups and they really enjoy playing with other dogs. Owners
that choose to allow their dogs into playgroups should rest assured that dogs
will be supervised, and that big dogs play with big dogs, and small dogs play
with small dogs. No cats allowed!
For those dogs that
don't enjoy playing with others, we also offer walks around the track across the
street from the hospital. The track is a mile long (we think) and you can arrange
to have your dog go on daily (or twice daily) walks around the track.
